Community OS
One place to manage the community, people, assets, notifications, and installed infrastructure modules.
Community records
Module-neutral records for properties, residents, owners, assets, devices, credentials, and access relationships.
Advanced registry import / export
This is the complete module-neutral Community OS registry. Saving validates all relationships before replacing live data.
Notifications
Named recipient groups, automatic module alerts, and operator-authored messages.
Logging & trends
Logging is a core service. Installed modules define the signals they expose to it.
Modules
Installable integrations extend the platform without changing the Community OS base.
The base image contains no FC202, VFD, pump, irrigation, pool, HVAC, gate, or other equipment implementation until the required module is installed.
Settings
Platform users, weather, storage, updates and local service access.
Local weather
Community address
Every commissioned site receives a permanent Venture-owned go2.community address. DNS authority remains with Venture Industries; Hostinger credentials are never stored on this appliance.
Community OS data
—
Core records, users, modules, logs, trends, notifications, backups and licensing are stored in the Community OS data area.
Software updates
Install a signed Community OS update package from USB or local storage.
Venture Service
The local Linux service account opens an XFCE desktop with browser, filesystem, terminal and diagnostic tools. It is separate from Community OS web accounts.
Community OS users
These accounts control access to the Community OS web application. They are not Linux login accounts.
Help & User Manual
Community OS core remains useful with no equipment modules installed.
Community OS base
Home, community records, users, notifications, weather, logging, licensing, updates, and the module manager are core platform services.
Equipment modules
VFDs, irrigation controllers, pools, HVAC/R, access systems, Venture hardware and third-party integrations are installed separately. An FC202 installation is one optional VFD module, not part of the base operating system.
Venture Service
Use Service Desktop for filesystem, browser, terminal and diagnostic access to the computer. The venturetech Linux account is intentionally separate from Community OS web authentication.
